How to Reset Timing Belt Warning Light on Toyota Land Cruiser

 Timing Belt Reset light The timing Belt light is one of the many light that may likely come up on your Dashboard, what  this particular light indicate is that your timing belt is due for change. 


the light is programmed to turn on after a certain mileage, this light does not go off automatically after the T-Belt replacement but needs a manual reset.


In this Tutorial you are going to learn how to reset your Timing belt light 

Only carry out this reset after a successful Timing belt replacement.


TBelt Reset


STEP: Turn on Your Ignition


STEP : Using the trip switch (select/reset)  select to where you have SERVICE B


STEP: Turn Off your Ignition


STEP: While the Ignition is OFF press and Hold the switch and turn your ignition ON while till holding the switch.


STEP: Continue Holding the switch for 5 seconds


STEP: Release the switch and press it again within 5 seconds, at this time the T-Belt Light will start blinking

The Digital Display will change to T-Belt mode, by pressing the reset button you can change the value from 1 to 20, which is 10km to 200km.

Consult your Service manual to know the right value for your region


STEP: After completing the above step, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds to save your new value.


STEP: Turn the ignition OFF and START The vehicle to confirm that the light is off.
